Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Garnet red with a delicious nose of ripe cassis and blueberry. The palate gives ripe strawberry, cassis and vanilla in a satiny, balanced mouthfeel and delicous vanilla/cassis finish.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This mostly Merlot(88%) red wine was 100% aged in French Chateau-style barrels for 16 months. The result is briliiant ruby colour with succulent aromas of ripe plum, cassis, violets, herbs de Provence and flavours of chocolate, baking spices, dark cherry. Firm tannins and bright acidity add to the structure and beauty of this Napa Merlot. This wine will easily reward over the next 5 years. Perfect gift wine or pair with finer cuts of beef/braised lamb.

Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Not your every day Merlot - but definitely one worth picking up for a special occasion. For me - sometimes that's just a Friday night glass of a great wine after a long week at work! This is a beautiful Napa Merlot blended with small amounts of other fruit; 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc, 1% Malbec All these together combine to make a structured layered wine with aromas of leather, aroma, cherry, vanilla and dark chocolate. Medium-high tannins, again with layers of flavour and fruit. Smooth tannins and a long finish. This wine reminded me that I need to drink more Merlot!
