A full-bodied, supple red with lovely aromas of dark berries and plums. Perfect with meat lovers' pizza on movie night or for early spring barbecues. This is an organic wine.

Malbec food pairings: steak, pasta and ribs.

The 2011 (yes, from this spring) Domaine Jean Bousquet Malbec is medium bodied wine with nice aromas of fruity strawberry, prune and caramel. Tannins are refined (decant for 30 min) and the finish is medium and bit sweet. Not to be cellared for too long due to the plastic enclosure (fake cork) (though I would not cellar it, I would actually be interested to see how it evolves, as it has a potential to improve in the next five years). My impression: NOTHING SPECIAL to NICE, 87 pts. Tasted Nov/11.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
