Reviews and Ratings

James Marentette rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

Everything you said and major petroleum, crude oil scent. The best yet
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Pale lemon-green colour with long thick teardrops. This was a pretty interesting Sauve Blanc from NZ Marlborough region. Lots of lemon, cut grass, straw, grapefruit, honeysuckle, tart pear, orange blossom and a hint of butter. This one also has an interesting sulphury burnt match element. Lots of lovely lemon, smoke, grapefruit, green apple and white pepper. High acidity with a medium minus body and finish. Dry 4g/L smooth, tart and zingy. Pair with herbed goat cheese, tabouleh and rosemary chicken. 91 points - tased April 2017
From South Island New Zealand, Dog Point (2016) is a flinty, smoky Sauvignon Blanc with mouth watering white grapefruit, melon and lime flavours. Great food wine with a bracing acidity to cut through any rich, creamy dishes. Drink now and for the next couple of years. - Community Wine Reviews
