From the Burgundy wine region, C. Collovray et J.L. Terrier, Deux Roches 2021 vielles vignes Pouilly-Fuissé is an Old World Chardonnay from vines between 60 and 100 years of age with a modern and fresh twist. Look for fresh green apple, almond, lemon zest and spine tingling briny mineral flavours vibrant and mouth-wateringly long on the palate. Enjoy it through 2031 with a perfect pairing of vol-au-vent escargot and chanterelles or pan-fried sweetbreads. A very dynamic and elegant Pouilly!

Pouilly-Fuissé food pairings: chicken vol-au-vent, pork tenderloin en croute, seafood chowder.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Rich and luxurious. Aromas of honey, golden apple and pear, with hints of warm baking spices. Medium bodied and rich on the palate with rounded citrus hints, along with flavours of almond and honey. Enjoy with creamy seafood pasta.
