A generous full-bodied, savoury Californian Cabernet Sauvignon by master winemaker Paul Hobbs. Complex, rich, deep with a long finish. Aromas of fleshy ripe black plums and dark berries. Decant 1 hour and enjoy with a rare steak.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: roast rack of lamb, meaty stews, grilled prime rib steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This yummy Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has loads of juicy dark berry aromas as well as dried eucalyptus leaves, dried petals, bell pepper and hints of cinnamon. It has blueberry and blackberry flavours as well as floral notes and roasted espresso and cocoa beans. The tannins are structured, and the flavours linger on the palate.

Tasted January 2018
This is another classic California Cabernet Sauvignon produced by Paul Hobbs. Mostly made with Cabernet Sauvignon with splashes of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot, this robust and juicy red is almost purple in colour. Look for blackberry, blueberry, cedar spice, smoked leather and savoury spice on this well-built and structured Cab. Tannins are chewy. Decant for one hour prior to serving or hold in cellar for five years. - Community Wine Reviews
