Natalie's Score: 91/100

A deep ruby Brunello di Montalcino produced from low-yielding Sangiovese wine grapes. Lots of bright cherry, ripe strawberry, savoury herb flavours finishing on a balsamic note. Tannins are firm and the wine would benefit from a few years in cellar. Try in 2023.

Brunello Di Montalcino food pairings: roast pork, venison stew, lamburgers.

Reviews and Ratings

From the Tuscany wine region, Col d'Orcia 2015 Brunello Di Montalcino is deep ruby in the glass. Produced from organically-grown 100% Sangiovese wine grapes. Fragrant with ripe dark cherry, iron and earthy aromas on the nose, full-bodied and juicy on the palate with dark cherry, wild berry, blackcurrant, garrigue herb and smoky flavours finishing long on the palate. Warming at 14.5% abv. Good now, better in a couple of years. Try in 2023. - Community Wine Reviews
