From Aubert Vignobles, Château Saint-Antoine 2018 is an excellent value 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc Bordeaux red at $18. This Bordeaux Supérieur is fragrant with blueberry, plum, spicy aromas and vibrant on the palate. Tannins are firm. Good now, better in 2025 when the wine will start to show its best. Chateau Saint-Antoine is owned by Chateau Couspaude, and a producer of a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classe.

Food pairings: grilled sirloin steak, meat fondue, barbequed ribs.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
