Reviews and Ratings

Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby in colour this relatively youthful wine has aromas of black berries and currants with a warming spiciness and developing earthiness. This full-bodied wine is long on the palate and promises to soften as it ages to let its true elegance shine through.
Pair with finer cuts of beef or lamb.
Drink now or cellar until 2027. This wine will benefit from decanting.
Date tasted: September 2015.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This storied wine has presence and structure, commanding attention from the palate. A wonderful robust and full bodied Napa cab, well balanced and integrating well with time. Still in its youth, needs decanting 2h and evolved in the glass over the tasting. A great candidate for cellaring 2016-2030 and drinking well now. Pair with BBQ Angus beef tenderloin and grilled vegetables. @jonsteeves Rated 92/100 March 2016
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

From the iconic Chateau Montelena in beautiful Napa Valley, California, this storied wine continues to impress, vintage to vintage, decade to decade. A refreshing medley of dark berries, baking spices, and herbs, all wrapped-up with a big age-worthy tannic structure. Recommend cellaring for 10+ years or decanting for two hours prior to service for those with less patience...Tasted August 2015. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
