Classic California Cabernet. Cassis and blackberry aromas with a good tannic grip. Decant 2 hours or give it some cellar time. This is a flagship winery for California, and its superb craftsmanship shows in the glass. Lovely to sip while you're reading The Grapes of Wrath.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: rare porterhouse steak, pork tenderloin.

Dark fruit and floral notes on the nose. The palate offers a wonderful array of blackberry, chocolate, licorice, and cedar notes. Concludes with velvety tannins that linger long past the finish.

Wonderful Cali Cab! The historical references aren't enough to describe this beautifully constructed and complex Cab. Paired with rare angus filet mignon. Medium plus body, jammy raspberry. Tasted June 2017. 93 points. BespokeTastings
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A superb and aromatic California beauty! Dark berry fruit and floral aromas topped with scrumptious ripe black fruit flavours, anise, vanilla and dark chocolate notes. A full-bodied, balanced and delicious Cabernet Sauvignon worthy of aging well into 2026 and pairs very well smoked brisket. Tasted June 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
