A stunning wine of incredible depth. A trophy wine that you should actually drink. Dark red fruit, smoke, violet and cassis fill the glass.

Reviews and Ratings

Lesley Quinn - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

I was lucky enough to get to taste this wine on the beautiful Montelena Property, they told me it was a dry year for the '04 vintage which is why it has such pungent leather scents softened by a note of blackberry sauce. The tannins are strong but well integrated with the oak. The Estate Cabs from Montelena have the potential to age 35yrs +, so you can keep it or you can drink it now just be sure to decant about 1 hour before you want to serve it. Try serving it with a Pot Roast with all kinds of root vegetables.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
