Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Nearly a flip of the 09 blend, this offering leans more on Merlot than Cabernet Sauvignon with a 58-42 split. The cooler vintage shows more fresh dark fruit than jammy or dried notes, along with black pepper, smoke, and gentle tobacco aromas. Vibrant acidity and tannins with a bit of edge set this red up for excellent food pairings and further cellaring potential (through 2023). Decant for 30 minutes now and serve with braised short ribs.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
