There is mocha and dark chocolate on the nose of this robust Bordeaux red wine from the Left Bank of the Gironde River. This full-bodied red is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot from the excellent 2012 vintage. Fleshy black plums are on the palate. Decant 1 hour. Pair with a rare steak. Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Refined nose of blueberry, plum, and a suggestion of dried roses. Fruits with cocoa, espresso, smoke, and graphite on the palate and through the finish. Tannins make their presence known with some appreciable grip. Perhaps most impressively is that this 60/40 Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot blend might be only halfway, maybe even less, through its journey and evolution while in its tenth year of life. Savour with duck breast, rack of lamb, or a nibble of dark chocolate.
Château Larose-Trintaudon 2009 is a medium-bodied Cru Bourgeois from the Haut-Médoc, Bordeaux wine region. The red wine blend is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon with 40% Merlot. Look for soft blackberry, mocha, cedar and black pepper spice on this elegant red from the Left Bank of the Gironde River. - Community Wine Reviews
