Soft and floral with light strawberry notes. Not a lot of acidity. Nice aperitif. Deeply flavoured rosé (for rosé) with notes of dark cherry and ripe black raspberry. Good balance and refreshment. Works as an aperitif or companion to salmon.

Rosé food pairings: cedar-planked salmon, salmon tartar, salmon burgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

One of the best Ontario Roses I have tried this year. Loaded with strawberry, cherry and flower blossom and supported by candied yellow and pink flowers. 90 Points
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A gold medal winner at the 2016 Ontario Wine Awards, this value-priced rosé was produced with 100% estate grown Pinot Noir from one of Canada's famous wine regions, Niagara-on-the-Lake. Deeply coloured for a rosé thanks to a cold-soak the winemaker employed to extract the right amount of colour and maximum amount of flavour from those tiny thin-skinned Pinot grapes. Aromas of freshly picked berries emerge with sweet strawberry, cranberry, a hint of fresh watermelon, with some sweet spice completing the bouquet. Creamy, soft, and loaded with sweet and refreshing red berries and spice on the finish. A great choice for sipping on your patio this spring and summer, and enjoying with grilled shrimp kebabs, pan seared scallops, or a grilled veggie burger. Tasted April 2017. 88 points. Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Great price and great value, make this your summer house wine! This rose has a lovely medium pink colour with a slight orange hue. Bright and fresh, aromas include strawberry, watermelon and a hint of orange blossom. Light body, refreshing and balanced with some acidity. I got a bit of citrus (lime) on the palate. This would be perfect for patio weather, or pairing with salmon, shrimp, or chicken. (March 2017)
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Lovely bright cherry-pink dry, light bodied rosé. Flavours of candied cherry, wild strawberry and watermelon dominate the palate. Enjoy with bacon wrapped scallops. Tasted May 2017 by @sommsosa
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

On first glance this wine looks like a bright dense watermelon. The aromatics have a fresh cherry, watermelon and strawberry profile. On the palate, the watermelon and strawberry are complemented with a tart cranberry element. Crisp, fresh and clean. Pairs perfectly with pan seared scallops, a California summer salad, baked Brie with berry coulis. Well balanced, great acidity, medium bodied. Tasted May 2017. 87 points
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A very pretty and versatile rose - with good body and acidity to pair with a variety of dishes. Dry, with strawberry, cherry, rhubarb and earthy notes. Good value.
Chateau des Charmes Cuvee d'Andree 2015 is made from 100% Pinot Noir for the Niagara-on-the-Lake wine region. Deep pink in the glass with ripe cherry and black raspberry flavours on the palate, this is a great value rosé under $20. Great on its own or to accompany a grilled salmon dish. - Community Wine Reviews
