A blend of 80% Syrah and 20% Grenache has aromas of blackberry, pepper, garrigue, and that unique-to-Midi scent of thyme, rosemary, basil, sage and lemon verbena. A very good balance of fruit, acids and tannins. A superb value for this delicious, full-bodied wine. Incredible aromatic depth and length of flavour, with notes of black plums, blackberries, game and smoke.

Food pairings: roast leg of lamb with an herb-rub, strong cheeses, goat cheese, herb stuffed pork tenderloin, brisket, roast goose.
