A dry and zesty Old World Sauvignon Blanc, vibrant with citrus zest, gooseberry, dried florals, fine herb and smoky flavours mouth-watering on the palate with a long briny mineral finish. A beautiful complex Sancerre to enjoy with fresh steamed cracked crab and grilled shellfish dishes.

Sancerre food pairings: coquilles St. Jacques, tempura seafood, oyster pot pie.

Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

I loved this wine for it's typicity. It tasted like classic Sancerre rather than mimicking a new world style. Medium bodied with an alcohol of 13.5% this wine had fresh grapefruit and lemon tones with some florality and lovely crisp apple on the finish. Try it with goats cheese panna cotta and freshly baked beetroot. @wrightwineblog
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This Sauvignon Blanc varietal is a wonderful example of the relationship between the wine grape and its "terroir". Floral, soft fruit, and citrus aromas follow through to a salty, mineral palate with a refreshing finish. Seafood and cheeses pair well with Sancerre. Also consider using this in a wine tasting event!
Love this Sancerre from the Loire Valley wine region. Château De Sancerre 2018 is fragrant with aromas of ripe nectarines, crunchy green apple, lime, white florals, lifted tropical fruit flavours matched with vibrant acidity and a flinty mineral finish. Chill and pair with all things shellfish. - Community Wine Reviews
