Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Another wonderful vintage from Chateau Cantenac. This Saint Emilion Grand Cru offers great value. Well-balanced, well integrated with medium plus body and medium plus tannins. Strawberry, blackberry, tart cherry, baking spices. Paired well with antipasti plate and also enjoyed with a braised beef stew. Tasted 2014 vintage after 2h decant. 91 points.
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

From the majestic region of Saint-Emilion, Chateau Cantenac reveals aromas of dark cherry, black tea, tobacco, dark chocolate, coffee and crushed almonds. This blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc shows a long finish and a full body. In the palate, dark plum, cherry, fresh herbs, caramel, smoke, a hint of vanilla and almond. The Chateau Cantenac 2014 is well balanced with silky tannins. Drink now or cellar it. This red wine will please with its easy drinking character. Enjoy!

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
