Natalie's Score: 91/100

The 2012 vintage was spectacular, and this baby needs cellar time as it has a lot of potential. Alluring aromas of wild blackberry, smoke, black currant and cassis. It's a blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Pair with prime rib.

Food pairings: rare prime rib steak, sauteed beef tenderloin and Porcini mushrooms, beef bordelaise.

Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby in the glass, there is a lot happening on the nose with intense aromas of strawberry, plum, smoke and cherry. A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon , this wine has lovely grippy tannins yet it is well balanced. There are rich flavors of stewed cherries, blackberries and a slight herbaceous undertone. There is a great potential for aging here at least 5-7 years.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby colour. This one is just a cacophony of complexities! St. Emillion Bordeaux blend (75% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc) Plum, prune, dried fruit elements, a touch of green bell pepper on the nose along with earthy, gamey leather and a touch of barnyard funk. High acid, Full bodied and very dry (2g/L) very good overall with potential for aging.
