Reviews and Ratings

Mymi Thesingingsommelier - Sommelier, FWS rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This Bordeaux estate is a fourth growth from the 1855 classification and covers about sixty hectares (150 acres) located in the commune of Saint-Julien.
Since 1988, the property has been in the hands of a French family group managed by Patrick Maroteaux and has been fully renovated, re-establishing its wines as some of Bordeaux’s yummiest.
The vineyards are planted with 70% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 5% Cabernet franc and 3% Petit-Verdot.
The 2013 vintage is ruby red in color with aromas of summer ripe raspberry, toasted wood, vanilla and freshly churned black earth.
Little dusty on the palate with lovely intense red fruit. Sensual and velvety with good tannin/acid structure and a long smoky finish.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
