Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A highly floral and spicy nose leading with rose hip and ginger before massive fruit notes including lychee, ripe/poached pear. Despite the hot vintage, acidity is balanced and pleasing, and when combined with a mildly viscous texture, creates a layered mouthfeel equal in complexity and intrigue to the concentrated and nuanced nose. Texture persists into the finish alongside exotic spices and ripe fruits. This dry Gewurztraminer will pair well with duck, pork, and crab, especially with a touch of spice.
From the Beamsville Bench, Niagara Escarpment wine region, Cave Spring Estate 2016 is a tasty, floral Gewürztraminer with rosewater, lychee, honey and cake spice flavours on the palate and great acidity for food. Pair with mild curries or grilled prawns. - Community Wine Reviews
