Loving this medium-plus-bodied Chianti Classico with ripe dark cherry, smoky, toasty oak, dark chocolate and nutty flavours on the palate finishing with vibrant acidity for food. Tannins are velvety on this Sangiovese-based red.

Chianti Classico food pairings: cheese pizza, rich pasta and tomato sauce, roast leg of veal.

Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is Chianti on the more traditional side of the spectrum. Light brick in colour, with a herby, tea leaf nose. The flavour is delicate rather than bold with very soft tannins. Dried cherry and delicate pot pourri perfume with a sweet-sour aroma of old fashioned boiled sweets. Very attractive if you like this style, as I did. Not for the wine drinker seeking a block buster. Try it with gorgonzola gnocchi. @wrightwineblog
Castello Di Bossi C. Berardenga 2015 is medium-plus-bodied Chianti Classico from the Tuscany wine region. The Sangiovese-based is juicy and ready to enjoy with flavours of ripe red cherries, smoke, chocolate and hazelnut. Tannins are fine and velvety. - Community Wine Reviews
