Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Premium Chianti Classico often show forest floor/mushroom aromas. This Chianti Class. shows more floral lifted aromas reminiscent of Brunello without the price of Brunello. Pure cherry fruit on the palate which more than matches a hint of forest floor aromas. Enveloping tannins mean this will improve with age. 3-6 years I'm guessing. A beauty now - but wait.
Carpineto Riserva 2013 is a Chianti Classico from the Tuscany wine region. The Riserva is an elegant, medium-plus bodied 80% Sangiovese and 20% Canaiolo red wine blend with juicy black cherry, leather, dried herbs and florals with a touch of smokiness on the finish. This wine calls for tomato-based dishes, cured meats and aged cheeses. Drink now and for the next five years. - Community Wine Reviews
