Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Cap Royal Bordeaux Superieur 2015 is crafted by Jean-René Matignon, Technical Director at Chateau Pichon Baron, a 2nd Grand Cru Classé. From such quality of wine making, satisfaction arises at the first scent of red plum, black cherry, black pepper, mint, leather, vanilla and oak. Refined with a lovely balance, Cap Royal reflects a classic Bordelais, perfect for any occasion. Palate, red currant, red plum, bay leaf, truffle, leather, cigar box and oak. Enjoy!
Cap Royal 2015 is a great value Bordeaux Supérieur under $20 and a juicy red wine blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon with aromas of dark fruit, toast and vanilla on the nose. Medium-plus-bodied with black and blueberry flavours, mocha and oak spice. Tannins are fine and velvety. Very elegant, enjoy now with a filet mignon. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
