Cannonball Cab is so easy to enjoy. You know this is a campfire wine with all of its dark cherry, berry and smoky flavours on the palate. Oak spice is subtle on this fun, medium-plus-bodied red and a great value red from California. Pair with friends and beef and lamb kebabs from the grill.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled burgers, Margherita pizza, pepper steaks, smoky ribs.

Reviews and Ratings

Jay Denney rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This was a crowd pleaser at a recent gathering. Love the bouquet, felt like I was inside a jam making kitchen. Plenty of black cherry and boysenberry on the palate, which is also smooth with very little tannin.
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Black cherry and plum aromas with chocolate notes. The savoury and sweet tastes on the palate are well balanced in acid and tannin, even though the wine is young. It will go well with all meats- beef, lamb poultry and barbeque ribs.
Cannonball is a perennial favourite. Cannonball 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is ripe cassis, dark plum, chocolate and sweet spice flavours lush on the palate with a smoky mocha finish. Well-priced and a BBQ favourite. - Community Wine Reviews
