Natalie's Score: 89/100 Winemaker Diego Cottini has crafted a fine Italian red wine here, with aromas of dark red fruit, smoke and spice. Racy acidity make this ideal for tangy tomato sauce. Decant 1-2 hours.

Reviews and Ratings
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review: This wine is big, with coffee, smoke, plum, black cherry, dried mushroom, forest floor, herbs and dried tobacco. There's a lot going on here. 91 points.
Colin McKone - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: Dark ruby with aromas of leather, smoke, plum, blackberry, and black pepper. It is medium to fuller bodied with medium tannins and acidity with flavours of black cherry, leather, baking spice & black pepper. This will pair great with a big plate of spaghetti and meatballs. Tasted on March 11, 2018.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: Medium garnet colour, aromas show dried cherries, blackberry, violets, smoke, cedar and a hint of earthy barnyard funk. Flavours show cooked strawberries, cherry skins, leather, dried bay leaves and wet rocks. Dry 12g/L with medium plus acidity, medium body and finish with grippy, well integrated yet noticeable tannins. Pair with antipasti salami and speck ham. 89 points - Tasted March 2018
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: Deeply coloured, aromas including dark ripe cherry, earth, smoke and leather. Balanced on the palate, bright acidity, medium tannins extending the finish. Fruit is bright on the palate, earthy and leathery notes are more subtle. Enjoy this with a rich beef ragout or bolognese sauce.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: This wine is an adventure in savoury cocoa, with ripe red and blackberry fruit on the palate. Pairs well with Mexican mole chicken or carne asada tacos. Tasted 2013 vintage in March 2018, decanted 2h. 89 points
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: A Veronese wine that is pretty in your face. Almost 16%. It does not specialty the grape, online or on the bottle. IGT Veronese could be any number of local grapes with some international influence. It cpuld be corvina and Cab and it certainly tastes that way. Pretty ruby coluration. Serious smoke elements and some torrified fruit. Raspberry jam, currants, craisin, somey oak too. Flavours of cherry, curramt, bramble, red pepper, and more smoke. A savoury wine for hearty fare. Lentil stew or rabbit.
Nicole Lewis rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review: A deep ruby wine offering up aromas of stewed fruit, black earth, and ripe cherries - there's lots of body here and modest acidity. A fairly fruit forward gem with a subtle spine of acidity to keep the palate piqued, this wine offers flavours of ripe black cherry, and tobacco and a medium length finish. I would pair this with a meat lasagna. Reviewed on March 11, 2018.
Ca’linverno Rosso Veronese is a unique wine created by Diego Cottini, Monte Zovo. The production technique was invented more than 20 years ago by the Cottini Family. Wine grapes are left to shrivel and dry out over winter on the vines concentrating grape aromatics and flavours. - Community Wine Reviews
