Reviews and Ratings

Julia Kelada rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Oh my! I was so nervous about trying this wine. I'm sorry if I sound like I am a total snob but usually wines under $20 rarely hit the spot! At $14.95 this wine filled me with trepadition!
Now I will always stand by what I say, that you get what you pay for in general so my level of expectation was not very high. We were also going out en mass to a BYOB restaurant  so this was for sure the right occassn for this wine....poor wine, I had already judged it!
Obviously there was no time for this wine to breath under the circumstances of a rather fast food chain restaurant. But I was in need of a glass of vino! So pop that cork!

The colour was a rather lucious red.
On the nose light cherries, black currants , violets, herbaceous undertones.( so far so good!)
On the palate, full sweet cherries, blueberries and black currants were the fruits. A floral rose note stepped forward, so far it was predictable, then surprise, surprise, a bitter dark chocolate note followed by licorice and rounded off with mild pepper holding a dry mouth! The wine is full bodied but has a light undertone. The tannins are of a medium length.
Well, I must congratulate my little wine, he held his own that night. He is worth the money and for those mass parties he is a good companion!

Bottoms up!

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
