Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This is a fun wine with lots going on in the glass. Lots of red licorice and red fruit wafting up in the glass. Juicy and fruity, you almost don't realize it is weighing in at 14.5% alcohol. Rich vanilla and soft tannins on a long finish round out the palate. Enjoy this with smoked ribs or spicy BBQ. Tasted February 2020. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Bright and fragrant in the glass. Aromas of blueberry, blackberry, with a hint of vanilla. Dry and full bodied on the palate with ripe, vibrant berry flavours, and bit of oak and vanilla on the finish. Enjoy with a slow cooked pork roast.
From Mendocino County, California, Bonterra 2017 Zinfandel is a full-bodied, mouth-watering and lushly layered Zin with cherry compote, ripe red plum, vanilla, white pepper, cedar and toasty oak spice flavours on the palate. The winery practices sustainable viticulture and the wine grapes for this Zinfandel were organically grown and have had time to fully ripen. Pair with grilled ribs and gourmet burgers. - Community Wine Reviews
