Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Actually, this Pipe (like Port, however, "Port" is exclusive to Portugal) is a dessert in itself. Ripe cherry and dark berries on the nose, chocolate, plum, figs, vanilla and nuts on the palate. Whatever your pleasure -- chocolate (the darker the better); fruit (cherry cheesecake); or nuts, like a chocolate and hazelnut bark, would all do very well with this almost-unctuous dessert wine. Like savoury after dinner? Try it with a duck fois gras pate. The two are a perfect match! Cheers.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
