Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

An excellent growing season produced this Napa Chard that celebrates the skill of winemaker Mark Beringer and showcases the Napa region. Tropical fruit, peach, citrus and smoke on the nose of this rich, layered Chard. The luscious palate continues these exquisitely blended elements in a silky-satiny texture and lingers through to the elegant finish.
Tasted Nov. 2017
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Crystallizing Napa style, this wine is huge, voluptuous, and rich. Tons of oak (lots of French) and a full malolactic hit of creaminess on the midpalate.
Golden colouration already. Giving over to oxidative, golden yellow. Glass-coating and almost 15% alcohol.
Aromas of stone fruit, pineapple, roasted nuts, vanilla, butter, and smoke. Lots of purity to the aromas and flavours. This wine was meticulously manGed during the barrel elevage.
The mouthfeel is glossy and imminently drinkable in spite of the booziness. Lemon curd, pineapple, vanilla, and more toastiness on the finish.
This wine is high quality, decent value, and may improve in the cellar. For those who like it bog before alk-else. Ta-dah! Pair it with bacon wrapped scallops.
Beringer Private Reserve (2015) is a classic Napa Valley Chardonnay designated organic. Look for ripe apple and pear fruit, lemon, toast and toffee on this one. Pair with roast chicken tonight or hold in cellar for five years. - Community Wine Reviews
