Exotic and dark with pencil led, graphite, anise and black plums on the nose and palate of this full-bodied, smooth Spanish red wine made from the country's iconic Graciano grape. And now for something completely different ....

Graciano food pairings: thick stew of potatoes and spicy sausage, pan-seared venison with grilled asparagus and blue cheese-bacon mashed potatoes, grilled lamb steaks and spicy chorizo mash, lamb chops, smoked cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

An inky brew of Spain's Graciano grape. Cherry, plum, toasted oak, dusty, cellar floor, hint of floral. The tannins are grippy with medium+ acidity. Long tannic finish. Red meat pairing.
Tasted: January 2015
This full-bodied Spanish red wine is produced by Gonzalo Rodriguez. Aromas of violets crushed in brambleberry preserves. Pair with cured meats. The 2010 vintage of the Graciano offers lots of pleasure. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
