From the Niagara Peninsula wine region, Bachelder L'ardoise Niagara 2021 is a dry, medium-bodied 100% Chardonnay sourced from some of the oldest plantings in the Niagara Peninsula. Beautifully balanced and fresh on the nose with ripe apple, pear, white-fleshed stone fruit, lemon cream and chalky mineral flavours generous and long on the palate. An excellent value terroir-driven Niagara Chardonnay at $25.

Reviews and Ratings

Bachelder L'ardoise Niagara 2021 is a dry, medium-bodied 100% Chardonnay sourced from some of the oldest plantings in the Niagara Peninsula. "L'Ardoise" is "The Slate" in English which gives you an idea of what you can expect from this wine crafted by Thomas Bachelder. Much of the geology of Twenty Mile Bench is made up of clay mixed with slate and shale. Fermented and aged in barrels, this Chardonnay is fresh and vibrant with ripe yellow apple, peach, cream and leesy, mineral flavours, silky smooth and long on the palate. Enjoy it with roast chicken or a creamy cheese fondue. - Community Wine Reviews
