L'ardoise 2022 is a dry, medium-bodied 100% Chardonnay sourced from some of the oldest plantings in the Niagara Peninsula. "L'Ardoise" is "The Slate" in English which gives you an idea of what you will find on this brilliant Chardonnay crafted by Thomas Bachelder. Much of the geology of Twenty Mile Bench is made up of clay mixed with slate and shale. Fermented and aged in barrels, the wine is fresh and vibrant with honeysuckle, ripe yellow apple, pear, vanilla and is creamy and long on the palate with a silky cinnamon kiss and flinty mineral finish. Chill and enjoy it with roast chicken.

Chardonnay food pairings: grilled swordfish, turkey dinner, chicken breast.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
