Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Austin Hope's family have been growing in Paso Robles since the late 70s. They moved there to cultivate a broader varoety of fruit, but also grapes. Austin eventually fell in love with the variety of sub-appellation AVAs, which show trendous diversity in style. It was he who took the plunge into viticulture and winemaking for the family and their fortune (that was closer to the millennium).
How does it taste? Dense, rich, and satisfying. It also represents a certain value that Paso Robles still has over Napa or Sonoma. It delivers tremendous value (ageability too).
Glass-coating ruby in the glass, it has a whap of chestnuts, coffee, candied cherry, blackberry juice, and plum.
Its high alcohol remains balanced and so is theboak. It has the ultra-ripe character that is so popular on Californian.
His Cab represents perfectly that obsession with the stylistic representation of Paso Robles. It is soirced from a great diversity of vineyards; trying to represent the best in complexity of the region
Austin Hope 2015 is a California Cabernet Sauvignon from the Paso Robles wine region. This is a full-bodied Cab with ripe, rich and juicy dark fruit, espresso coffee, dark chocolate and smoke spice flavours on the palate. Velvety on the mid-palate. Pair with a rare rib steak. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
