From the Tuscany wine region, Tignanello 2019 is a dry, robust and powerful Super Tuscan that Antinori began crafting in 1385. Produced from mostly Sangiovese with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes from vines planted 350 to 400 vines above sea level. The 2019 vintage is quite tannic right now, but given a few years to marry and mellow, the wine is promising bright red berry fruit, blueberry, cherry, mint, lavender and citrus zest flavours on the palate. Try in 2024 or cellar to 2040.

Chianti Classico food pairings: veal Parmesan, meaty lasagne, filet mignon, venison tenderloin.

Tignanello 2019 is a dry, robust and powerful Super Tuscan that Antinori began crafting in 1385. Produced from mostly Sangiovese with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes in support from vines planted 350 to 400 metres above sea level. This vintage is elegant and sophisticated with bright red berry, cherry, citrus and minerally flavours silky smooth and vibrant on the palate. Good now, better in 2024 or cellar to 2040. - Community Wine Reviews
