Reviews and Ratings

Doug rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Very dry
Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The 2008 Allegrini Palazzo Della Torre is a medium bodied, fruity to INTEGRATED wine, with appealing aromas of black cherry, blackberry and vanilla. Tannins are subtle to refined (decant for 15-30 min) and the finish is bit sweet and long and smooth. Drink now or hold for the next 5 years. My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 89 pts - tasted at an Italian wine tasting Oct/11.

Robs stocking
Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

The blend is the historic combination of Corvina and Rondinella with the addition of a small quantity of Sangiovese. A small percentage of the harvested grapes are left to dry out until December and then added to the previously vinified fresh grapes. The result is a velvety, well-balanced red wine that proffers mature, pulpy fruit.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
