A robust Italian traditional red wine blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Sangiovese grapes rich and spicy with blackberry, blueberry, dried fruit, roasted herbs and dark chocolate flavours on the palate with great acidity for a Bistecca Florentine. Tannins are smooth and rounded.

Food pairings: pizza with meat, pork tenderloin, rare beef steaks.

Reviews and Ratings

Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

From the area of Venice this wine is a blend of Corvina and rondinella. A deep purple full-bodied wine with aromas of spice like nutmeg, herbs and blackberry. Raisons taste on the palate is balanced with the acidity. Cured or smoked meat appetizers, mushroom based dishes, and pork with Oriental spices will pair well.
Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Great value, this wine touches on the Ripasso style where a 30% portion of the grapes is left to dry until December when the grapes are added back to the finished wine to give volume and body. The resulting wine is grapey and spicy with hints of Christmas pudding and molasses. A full bodied wine that is refreshed at the end by a clean acidity. Try with olive and garlic pasta @wrightwineblog
Allegrini Palazzo Della Torre 2015 is a robust Italian traditional red wine blend of 40% Corvina Veronese 30%, Corvinone, 25% Rondinella and 5% Sangiovese. This full-bodied red is rich, spicy and concentrated red berry fruit and dried dark berries, roasted herbs and smoky flavours on the palate. Aged in second-use French oak barrels, blended and bottle-aged seven months prior to release. Enjoy with homemade gnocchi with Gorgonzola cheese or medium-mature cheeses like Parmigiano Reggiano Pecorino and Monte Veronese. - Community Wine Reviews
