Château Tanunda Barossa Tower Shiraz 2013, Barossa, Australia: Attractive black fruit, smoke, black pepper and black plum on the nose and palate. A mouth-fillingly rich, smooth and supple texture on the palate. Savoury, meaty notes on the finish. Pair with hamburgers. Drink: 2015-2019. 289983 14.50% D 750 mL  $18.95 Score: 91/100. March 19, 2016 Best Value Red Wine. Luscious Lamb Wine Full Review
Château Croze De Pys Prestige Malbec 2010, Cahors, Midi Southwest A.C., France: A rich, full-bodied southern French red with black fruit and smoke aromas. This wine is a blend of Malbec and Merlot grapes, from a family who has been growing vines since 1773 in this region. This red displays that history with lots of heft, concentration and depth. It finishes with some pepper and smoke. I'd drink it with brisket or prime rib. Produced by Domaines Roche, and located in the heart of the Cahors region of southern France. Pair with meaty ravioli or a thick minestrone soup. Drink: 2015-2018. 681668 13% XD 750 mL  $19.95 Score: 90/100. November 14, 2015 Complete Cheese Pizza Wine Full Review
Fontanafredda Raimonda Barbera D'alba 2014, Piedmont D.O.C., Italy: Dark fruit and smoke on the nose of this full-bodied Italian red wine. Some grip on the palate from tannins, but this can be helped with 1-2 hours of decanting. Pair with a rare steak. Drink: 2016-2019. 23135 13.50% XD 750 mL  $16.95 Score: 89/100. March 7, 2016 Best Value Red Wine. Magnificent Meat Pizza Wine Full Review
La Mannella Brunello Di Montalcino 2010, Tuscany, D.O.C.G., Italy: Oddly great! Not typical for Brunello with juicier purple and black plums, less austerity and tannin (though that's there). Full-bodied and juicy with a long finish. Pair with grilled meats. Drink: 2015-2020. 279083 14.50% XD 750 mL  $69.95 Score: 95/100. March 7, 2016 Top Rated Red Wine. Best Beef Wine Full Review
Descendientes de J. Palacios Pétalos 2013, Bierzo D.O., Spain: A full-bodied Spanish red wine from one of the country's most respected producers. Aromas of dark fruit and smoke. Great structure. Pair this with a rare steak. Drink: 2015-2020. 446484 15% XD 750 mL  $28.95 Score: 91/100. August 20, 2016 Top Rated Red Wine. Best Beef Wine Full Review
Bodega del Abad Crianza 2006, Bierzo D.O., Spain: Lovely mature flavours of tanned leather, violets and cigar box. Not fruity. Love this lots more than "younger" Crianzas. Somewhat like mature Rioja without the markup. The Bierzo region of Spain has recently reinvested itself and emerged as a modern producer of a very traditional grape, Mencia. This wine finished with black, mocha and spice. Try it with light curry dishes. Drink: 2012-2017. 244699 13.60% XD 750 mL  $14.95 Score: 90/100. March 7, 2016 Best Value Red Wine. Calm Curry Wine Full Review
