Lustau Los Arcos Amontillado Dry Sherry, Jerez, Spain: A gorgeous, dry sherry with toasted almond and hazelnut from start to finish. Sherry is worth drinking on it's own not just for cooking, especially dry versions like this with nuts and hard cheeses. Nobilo Icon Pinot Noir 2013, Marlborough, New Zealand: A smooth, supple easy-drink red wine. This New Zealand Pinot Noir features notes of wild field berries on the nose and palate. Sue-Ann Staff Estate Winery Black O'Noir Baco Noir 2015, Niagara, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: This Niagara red wine made from the Baco Noir grape is themed especially for Halloween, thus Black O'Noir. Made by Sue-Ann Staff, it's off dry with fleshy sweet blackberries, or as the back label says: "As black as a cat, as memorable as trick-or-treating and as delicious as as blood is to a vampire." Killibinbin Scream Shiraz 2012, Langhorne Creek, South Australia, Australia: Smooth, full-bodied Australian red wine blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. This is a seasonal product available close to Halloween given the wine's name, Scream. The back label defines Killibinbin as the ability to take one form and turn it into something bigger that mesmorizes and is hypnotic. Aromas of sweet black plums. Pair with Tootsie Rolls. Shiraz food pairings: meat lovers pizza, hamburgers, lamb cutlets, black bean soup. Montes Twins 2014, Colchagua Valley, Chile: A gorgeous Chilean red wine blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec grapes (thus the twins). Aromas of fleshy black plums and toasty oak. What an amazingly great value for this price. Perfect party wine. Pair with meat lovers pizza. CedarCreek Estate Winery 2014, Okanagan Valley Valley, British Columbia BC V.Q.A., Canada: The grapes for this blockbuster BC red wine were hand-picked and harvested October 23, 2014. The wine was bottled August 12, 2015. In the interim, the wine was fermented and aged in authentic Italian clay amphora, the traditioncaly jug vessels used to age wine in Italy. No filtration, artificial yeast or preservatives. Only 224 cases made. This baby needs serious cellar time. Aromas of black fruit. Pair with hearty meat dishes.
