The grapes for this blockbuster BC red wine were hand-picked and harvested October 23, 2014. The wine was bottled August 12, 2015. In the interim, the wine was fermented and aged in authentic Italian clay amphora, the traditioncaly jug vessels used to age wine in Italy. No filtration, artificial yeast or preservatives. Only 224 cases made. This baby needs serious cellar time. Aromas of black fruit. Pair with hearty meat dishes.

Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A well-made robust scrumptious red blend! This wine packs quite the alcohol but it is beautifully balanced. Prominent aromas include mint, anise, cedar, black plum, violet, tobacco and leather. The palate is just as complex with pronounced notes of anise, wild mint, sage plum and spice. This wine is full bodied with luscious acidity, ripe tannins (medium-low) and a long minty finish. Enjoy with oven roast prime rib. Tasted Oct 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A hearty full bodied classic Canadian red from the storied Okanagan Valley, 14.9 % ABV. Well-balanced, medium plus tannins, deep dark red and black fruit, savoury black sage, graphite minerality, fresh plum. Integrating. Pairs well with AAA roast prime rib. Tasted Oct 2016 - @jonsteeves rated 90/100 - bespoketastings.ca
