Fleshy ripe blackberries and cherries on the nose and palate of this smooth, supple, full-bodied southern French red wine. With its name and the skull on the label, pair with Halloween and grilled meats.

Reviews and Ratings

Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Sweet aromas of cocoa, cooked fruit and some leather. Off-dry with lots of dark fruit flavour of blackberry and plums. Short to medium finish. A good summer bbq wine for a big crowd!
Carola Price rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Clear and deep rich red. On the nose it is rich red fruit with some jammy character, lead and cedar tones. Pow! In the mouth it is lively deep rich red fruit and a bit of chocolate orange, slight vanilla on the finish. Medium bodied and a big surprise in terms of finish. Very balanced but the residual sweetness surfaces right at the end. So pair this with Devils Food cake, fudgey brownies or some Teriyaki Beef, Orange Beef or Korean Bulgogi. Cheeses will do well here but stick to Havarti, Edam, Jarlsberg, and Oka because of their slightly soft texture.

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Dark ruby with aromas of blackberries, plums and dark chocolate. Extra-dry palate continues these flavours with vanilla and a smooth texture.
