Made by one of Australia's wine families and typical of what the Coonawarra and Clare Valley can show in a Cabernet Sauvignon. Fragrant with dark berries, eucalyptus, mocha and tobacco. Dried herbs, ripe dark berries, savoury notes, mint, spice and fresh acidity on the palate.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: beef enchiladas, barbecued ribs in sauce, hamburger, hard cheese.

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Lovely! Aromas of blackberry and raspberry with hints of mocha, eucalyptus, and smoke. Full bodied with soft, but fuzzy tannins, and bright acidity on the palate, along with ripe berry notes and more mocha and spice on the finish. Enjoy with grilled meats.
Wakefield Jaraman 2016 is a Coonawaara Cabernet Sauvignon, a big, robust and juicy red starting off with a minty nose and ripe warm blackberry compote aromas. Layered with ripe blackberry dark plum, minty, savoury herbs and well-integrated toasty oak flavours. Tannins are velvety. Pair with a sunset and prime rib. Enjoy now and for the next five years. - Community Wine Reviews
