Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Quite alluring! Nice fruit forward berry notes along with layered mint and spice aromas. The palate is just wow! I am loving the juicy berry minty flavours with balanced acidity, moderate developing tannins, and a long juicy finish. A delish medium+ bodied red. Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This 100% old vines Carignan from the Cote Catalanes in France. An expressive wine showing plum, sweet black berry, mocha, and spice on the nose and palate. Silky smooth with a touch of tannins making it a great choice for gourmet burgers. Tasted June 2016. 89 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Tessellae Vieilles Vignes Carignan 2014 is made from 100% Carignan grape. Vines are 70 years old growing on schist soils. On the palate, there is crushed raspberry, dark chocolate, anise and a lingering smoky finish. Full-bodied and smooth, supple tannins, this wine is hunting for rib steak. Can also hold in cellar for three-plus years. - Community Wine Reviews
