Andrew scored this wine: 99/100

A near perfect Sangiovese, featuring layers of black raspberry, iron, flowers, and a hint of anise. This is so pure and fresh, yet possessing incredible density. The finish extends beyond your wildest imaginations. 99 Points. (ottawawinejournal.com)

A near perfect wine. This has incredible body and structure. Ready to drink now or in 2050 depending on how you like it. Lots of bold blackberry and plum skin with nice baking spice, cedar, camphor and liquorice notes. There’s cigar tobacco and herb mixed in as well. The length and the fine-grained tannins are what makes this wine so appealing. 99 Points.

Washington State K Vintners The Hidden Syrah 2014

This is one of the finest Syrah's I've ever had, from any country. There's loads of glycerine-infused black plum, cassis, and blackberry fruit, along with sweet earth, crushed rock, and fresh herb. It's ethereal and downright dense, but the acidity makes it all work. So good now, but better in 2025. 98 Points.

This is as near as I've been to heaven with an Australian Grenache, or any Grenache for that matter. The grape reaches its truest potential with Clarendon Hills. This simply stunning wine oozes sex appeal, with loads of black briar, plum, cassis, toast, glycerine, graphite, and fresh and dried herbs. It's tactile and sensual. Drink now through 2030. 97 Points.

I had no idea what to expect from this Syrah. Then it hit me. Italian C&mote Rotie, with loads of blackberry, hung meat, sanguine notes, mushroom, plum skin, menthol, dried flowers, pipe tobacco, singed herbs, smoke, and dark chocolate. It’s nearly perfect in every sense of the word. Drink now through 2035. 97 Points.
