Had this wine last night at Terra restaurant in Richmond Hill, Ontario (thank you Michael, who keeps surprises me every time). One of the most unusual, exciting and rewarding Italian wines I have had in the past few months. It's an interesting blend of 33% Montepulciano, 25% Sangiovese, 30% Primitivo, 7% Negroamaro, 5% Malvasia Nera. My first reaction was 'wow! this is different' - it's similar to a very high-end Zin (probably because of the Primitivo) but it has much more to offer - full body, extremely sophisticated and rich yet very silky smooth and elegant. The flavors of strawberies are so beautifully integrated, as if you sample the best homemade crafted strawberries jam ever.flavors that go on for ever and yet amazingly balanced.

Ice cider at it's best! Sweet but not too sweet.so amazingly beautiful. On the nose GApple pie. Hints of 'just baked apple-pie'. On the palate, over-ripped apples with cinnamon and well balanced acidity. The finish goes on for ever. Excellent by itself or with any sweet dessert.

Think about all the adjectives to describe an amazing nose and complexity of favors and multiply it by 10 - absolutely amazing. Everything you expect from a 13 year old Rioja Gran Reserva is there and beautifully placed. It takes a great producer like Marques de Caceres to deliver such a remarkable wine in a challenging year like 1998 in Rioja.

What an outstanding Brunello. Thank Gemini for this beautiful gift. It's everything you're expecting Brunello to deliver and more. Full body, full of very well integrated flavors. Doesn't need any food to enjoy it to its fullest. I wish there was more of it - what a treat.

What an amazing wine! From the first sipp to the last one the wine is absolutely gorgeous. Full body. Sophisticated. Clean. accurate. Bordeaux blend at its best. Very well integrated flavors - everything is just right there. Can continue to evolve in the next 3-5 years.
