Nautilus Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Marlborough, New Zealand
1309 days ago

Emily scored this wine: 92/100

This wine has mouth-watering acidity, perfect for a warm summer day. On the nose, there is pineapple, passion fruit, yellow apple, pear, white peach, and citrus peel. On the palate, there are notes of ripe fruits including pineapple, passion fruit, apple, pear, and peach. The wine is pronounced and has a long finish. Food pairings would include fish tacos or anything fried. It is a great value out of Marlborough!

Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Marlborough, South Island, New Zealand

Emily scored this wine: 90/100

This wine is very aromatic, with aromas of lemon, grapefruit, and a hint of orange. These carry through to the palate along with lime zest. The high acidity helps to balance the wine so that the medium alcohol level is not overly apparent. Good value for the price point and a consistent go-to in the summer. It pairs well with oven-roasted veggies and could be a match with Mexican or less spicy Asian food since it is both crisp and aromatic.

Red Leaf Vidal Icewine 2006

Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada

Emily scored this wine: 85/100

This wine has dried fruit flavors such as apricots, raisins, bruised apple, as well as honey notes. It is thick in texture but not cloyingly sweet, which makes this wine very approachable. It is a good value for the price point.
