Sandbanks Estate Winery Rosé 2016

Emily scored this wine: 88/100

I used to spend my summers in Prince Edward County and this wine is THOSE summers in a bottle. Flavours of Rasberry, strawberry and watermelon and grapefruit. An easygoing wine to drink on it's own, but we paired it with Normanviller Soft Cheese and it was delicious! Off-dry, fruity, with a balanced acidity. Gorgeous Coral Pink Colour! Divine summer wine!

This 2014 White Horse VQA from Chadsey's Cairns Winery was stunning, from the mythical minimalist label, right down to it's crisp finish. Very high acidity, flavours of floral, citrus and grape. We paired this wine with savoury cheese and gamey sausage. A high recommended, exquisite wine!

So excited to be reviewing this wine as it hails from RIGHT here in Ottawa. This is a Chardonnay blended with St-Pepin and Frontenac Gris Cold World grapes. The apricot nose and flavour on this wine is divine, and the wine flavour is a unique taste for the adventurous drinker! I sipped this wine on my balcony post workday, but it would pair beautifully with any spicy food and bold flavours like mexican or thai.

Prince Edward County Rosehall Run Chardonnay 2016

This 2016 Chardonnay is from Wellington in Prince Edward County and was gorgeous for a evening drink in the summer! I spend time most summers in Prince Edward County, even as a kid, so there's always an iconic twinge when I enjoy something from a vineyard of this County. Chardonnay: dry, light, medium acidity. Beautiful white, lemon colour, green apples and citrus aroma, and a medium lemony finish. We paired this with a mozzarella that we had just made fresh, but this Rosehall Run Chardonnay would go well with any medium cheese, or a light herbed veggie or a buttery seafood dish.
