Camelia scored this wine: 95/100

I had the pleasure of tasting this wine during the second edition of 'le Salon des Vins Roumains' in Montreal. Budureasca Organic Chardonnay may seem to be on the nose as a Californian or Chilean Chardonnay, however it is from Dealu Mare region in Romania. Golden yellow color with aromas of tropical notes, banana peel, baked yellow apples and honey. Full body wine with a balance acidity and a long finish. Perfect to enjoy on its own, with seafood dishes, creamy cheeses or with light foods such as chicken and turkey. This wine was a perfect pairing during a celebration which I tried with a flank fish, parmesan and black risotto with a creamy sauce.

I had the pleasure of tasting this wine during the second edition of 'le Salon des Vins Roumains' in Montreal, in autumn season. C'est soir from Crama Hermeziu was one of my favorite rosé wine from the tasting. It didn't disappoint during this summer time either. Light-medium salmon color with aromas of flowers especially roses petals and fruits (strawberries) and a bit of honey. Light crisp refreshing wine with a medium acidity and a balance finish. Perfect to enjoy on its own, with seafood dishes, creamy cheeses or with light foods such as chicken and turkey.

I had the pleasure of tasting this 2009 Feteasca Neagra from the region of Bohotin during the second edition of 'le Salon des Vins Roumains' in Montreal. Vinuri Vechi VINIA had some pretty amazing old wines to present during this event. This high in alcohol Feteasca Neagra was a delight to taste. Aromas of prune, raisin, walnut and green pepper were predominant. It was a smooth dry wine with a long finish and soft tannins. Ideal pairing with veal meat. Drank bottle 880

I had the pleasure of tasting this wine during the second edition of 'le Salon des Vins Roumains' in Montreal. Metaph white from Gramma winery was one of my favourite white wine from the tasting. From the region of Iasi in the north of Romania close to Moldova, this is a nice blend of Aligoté, which you don't see often in Romania, and Feteasca regala was 'a coup de coeur' for me. Light pale straw color with aromas of tropical notes (peach & pineapple) and honey. Light crisp wine with a balance acidity and a soft finish. Perfect to enjoy on its own, with seafood dishes, creamy cheeses or with light foods such as chicken and turkey. Drank bottle 2640/6528.

Aurelia Visinescu is a well renown oenologist in Romania and internationally. She is the winemaker behind her own wine brand. I was introduced to the Promessa line when I visit the winery back in 2016. The blend of feteasca negra and syrah reflects the Dealu Mare terroir. Deep ruby color, aromas on the nose and palate of dark cherries, plums, and white pepper. Vanilla, smoke and leather notes comes from ageing in oak barrels. Smooth and velvety texture with soft tannins and long finish. Enjoyable on its own but a beautiful pairing with red meats such as lamb or beef. Drank bottle 13.07.2019.
