Complex and highly perfumed nose loaded with blackberry, black current, plum and baking spices. Rich, ripe and mouth filling with well integrated tannins and a powerful yet beautiful finish that just go on and on.

Beautiful, complex aromas of honey, apricot, pineapple and lemon pie. Creamy and full in the mouth with a long clean finish. This wine was a joy to drink and was excellent with Creme Brulee.

Ruby with a garnet rim, a complex nose of cherries, cassis, cinnamon hearts, leather, oak and fall leaves. The long finnish left the impression of dried cherries and black currants. An excellent wine drinking well now but still with years left.

Wonderful older burgundy, deep yellow with a nose of binned apples, pineapple and nuts. Great mouth filling texture with a long buttery nutty finish. Although this wine would be great with a number of dishes it was more than enough just to enjoy it by itself. Drinking well right now. A beautiful wine!

Until I became involved in the Industry I had no idea how hard service professionals work to make other people happy. So in honour of National Waiter's Day and all of those great service people I would like to recommed a wine that I have enjoyed across several vintages. The Caparzo Brunello di Montalcino is a wonderful dark ruby wine that hits the palate like velvet. The last bottle that I had the opportunity to drink was a 2005. It was a medium bodied wine that tasted of dark cherries, blackberry, herbs and licorice. It is wonderful wine partnered with pasta covered with meat sauce and topped with pecorino cheese.
