ShortStack Foodie reviewed this wine:
This is my go-to-always-on-hand-summer-patio-wine (that's a mouthful!) It's listed as a "Varietal: Pinot Gris, Riesling, & Auxerrois" - all I know, is that it tastes lovely! I've served it along side roast chickens with fresh herbed salads, cheese plates and as a "midweek kitchen cooking glass" while I prepare dinner and packed lunches for the next day. Most recently, I've paired it with a 12-hour apple-wood smoked pork shoulder. So I guess that means it's pretty versatile! There's hints of lemon, fruits from sun drenched tropical islands and green apple, which would make perfect sense given the apple-rich region it's from. There's also a nice mineral quality to it. At the last dinner party we had, everyone agreed that there's no long-lingering aftertastes, it's "fruity" not "floral", it's a "bright" and "clean" wine and perhaps, most importantly it's one we would definitely pack in a picnic basket. Go now, go quickly and find this wine! You can also order directly from the Winery if it's not carried in your local LCBO ... which we do ... frequently. Happy sipping!
