This Burgundian style Pinot Noir is an easy drinking and well priced Pinot. Medium red brick in colour with notes of blackcurrant, raspberry, black cherry and a hint of Brett on the nose. Palate is smooth with a nice mouthfeel of dried plums and medium tannins that finish nicely. Would pair well with duck or gamey meats. Available in Nova Scotia at Harvest Wines & Spirits for $19.99

This fresh, fruity light wine is a classic Vinho Verde. Citrus and crisp apple aromas on the nose, notes of pear, apple, and lemon give this wine a refreshing mouthfeel. The spritzy finish is a treat! Would pair well with seafood. Purchased at Bishop's Cellar in Halifax for $12.00

If you're looking for a nice red blend for under $20, Dreaming Tree Crush is a great find! Intense aromas of blackberry and dark chocolate with notes of smokey vanilla, this 14 month oak aged blend has strong berry and jam flavours. Medium-bodied, good acidity with a medium to long finish. Drink as a stand alone wine or paired with ribs/barbecued meats 78% Merlot, 13% Syrah, 6% Zinfandel, 2% Petite Syrah, 1% Malbec and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon Also available at the NSLC for $19.95.

This simple, easy drinking California Zinfandel is a fruit bomb of cherry, plum and candied strawberries. Deep ruby red with hints of cinnamon and clove. Good balance, soft tannins and a touch of warmth gives this wine great mouthfeel. Improves with good company!
