Adam scored this wine: 97/100

Full bodied with intense honey, peach, spice, with some lively lemon acidity one the finish. A perfect representation of Canadian Icewine at it's finest! Pair this with a caramelized lemon tart, green tea crème brûlée, chocolate paté, most any dessert or a local Dragon's Breath blue cheese!

I had the pleasure of tasting this at their picturesque estate on the Twenty Mile Bench! Intense citrus fruit hits the nose with some grapefruit, apple, and hints of limestone and petrol. It follows through on the palate with lemon-lime, grapefruit, green apple, some residual sugar, fairly dry with great acidity, and a long finish. This wine was great on it's own, but had me wanting Atlantic scallops dusted in sea salt, pad thai, or some spicy jumbo shrimp!

Slightly pink in color, nice intensity on the nose of tropical fruit, grapefruit, passion fruit, a hint of lime zest, and the intensity follows through on the palate. You expect a sweeter wine, and are surprised with a long dry finish. Very crisp, vibrant and refreshing. A perfect wine with some thai food that carries some heat and you can't go wrong with steamed mussels or scallops! Picking up some cheese? A match is made with some local Fox Hill Jalapeno Gouda straight from the farmers market!

Vintner's Reserve

Nova Scotia's premiere grape varietal, and a perfect match for local seafood. Tropical fruit, grassy notes, nice zesty citric acidity, and some subtle buttery, vanilla notes from the barrel aging of 6 months, but does not over power. A reliable level of quality that delivers year after year. Pair this wine with shellfish- nice big Digby Scallops with a vanilla saffron risotto, or a lobster dinner! The citrus and buttery notes, along with some tropical fruit will do nothing but compliment shellfish!

Onyx

I had the pleasure of visiting this unique farm-style vineyard in the 20 mile bench of Niagara, and the experience was as memorable as the wines! After watching the sheep at work in the vineyard pruning the vines, we tasted many wines including the 2010 Onyx, a Merlot/Cab-Franc blend. Some pleasing juicy red berry fruit with a hint of mocha on the finish with some silky tannins. We bought a bottle to bring back east to cellar, which will surely only round out and enhance the layers of complexity displayed in this wine.
